Room for the prevention of vocational training dropouts

Personal motivation is a major driver for completing education. While students in the school system are prepared for lifelong learning and the importance of further education through personality training, there is currently no comparable training in vocational training programs. As a result, apprentices drop out of their training programs like students. With NOGAP, we close this gap by adapting existing personality training from schools and integrating them into vocational training programs. The project supports apprentices in recognizing the importance of their training and motivates them to complete it. Ensuring that every person has a job.

About NOGAP: All information about the project

Project contents:

During the project period from November 1, 2023, to April 30, 2025, we are developing various methods in collaboration with a project partner to implement personality development training in vocational training programs. The project contents include:

  • Development of an adaptation strategy and process to transfer personality development training that is already used in schools to vocational training programs.
  • Target group-specific adaptation of the training for apprentices in external vocational training programs.
  • Creation of best practice materials and different workshop formats to integrate the training into external vocational training programs.

Target audience

The NOGAP project targets:

  • Apprentices
  • Trainers in external vocational training programs

Project goals

The aim of the project is to prevent early drop-outs from vocational training programs by adapting and implementing personality development methods from the school sector into vocational training programs.
