Room for the expansion of expression and communication skills in education

Online and in-person classes have different impacts on various subjects in schools. Humanities subjects such as languages, literature, and ethics suffer from the limited personal interaction between students and teachers in the online setting. This has a negative impact on the development of essential expression and communication skills. In the WECOMMIT project, we focused precisely on this issue and collaborated with international partners to create learning and teaching materials that enhance interaction and improve the quality of teaching in the digital space. Students, teachers, and educational institutions benefit from the positive outcomes even after the completion of the course. So that people and companies can grow.

Project Activities

During the project period from November 1, 2021, to November 1, 2023, in collaboration with five project partners we developed:

  • A handbook for students containing essential tips for communication in the classroom and reflection during learning interactions

  • A handbook for teachers with theoretical backgrounds as well as methodological and strategic approaches to improve communication and learning in (online) groups

  • A toolbox featuring various observation and reflection instruments suitable for both online and in-person classes

The WECOMMIT project was aimed at teachers and learners participating in different group learning situations (online or offline).
